Ninth Assembly, Buhari’s cabinet: League of women voters meet Wednesday

Ahead of composition of President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet for second term and leadership composition for ninth Assembly in May 29 and June 10 respectively, some Nigerian women will on Wednesday, 15th May, meet to deliberately some critical issues, it was learnt.

The Non-Governmental Organization, under the aegis of Nigerian League of Women Voters (NILOWV), it was gathered, will advocate inclusion of Nigerian women in the leadership of National Assembly as well as involving more women in the next cabinet.

One of the organisers, who circulated the announcement on Monday noted that the convention, which will involve women from six geo-political zones of Nigeria is scheduled to hold at Merit House, Maitama, Abuja.

She said NILOWV is ready at all times to educate and mobilise Nigerian to enable them play a larger role in governance, public matters and public affairs and defend, perfect Nigeria’s democracy.
