Atiku Tackles Secondus Leadership as APC Blasts Opposition Party
The Presidential flagbearer of the PDP in the last poll,Atiku Abubakar has subtly berated the Uche Secondus leadership of the party over its focus on 2023 instead of concentrating on rebuilding the party.
In a rare diplomatic rebuke,Atiku said the party should focus on the internal structural challenges facing the party.
It would be recalled that the PDP Board of Trustees chairman had alleged plot to assassinate him over his refusal to categorically declared that Abubakar remains the flag bearer of the party for 2023.
Walid Jubrin also said the party leadership will.soon meet to prepare plan for the 2023 poll.
The former Vice President in a single loaded tweet said :”Our preoccupation at this point in the @OfficialPDPNig should not focus on elections, but on rebuilding and strengthening our party for the challenges ahead of us.”
The ruling APC also joined the debate in blasting the Secondus leadership, adding “Return of our stolen resources and offer sincere apologies for the havoc wrecked on the country during the @OfficialPDPNig (PDP) 16-year rule should be the preoccupation of PDP.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) offers this as a new year counseling to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar following his own tongue-in-cheek advice to his party, the PDP, urging them to concentrate on strengthening and rebuilding the @OfficialPDPNig for now rather that dissipating energy on the 2023 elections. Clearly, the former PDP presidential candidate was anything but sincere in his advice”,the statement by the party spokesman,Lanre Isa Onilu retorted.
