#Zamfara Endowment Board Sacks Executive Secretary

Following an emergency meeting held by the Chairman and board members of the zamfara state Zakkat and endowment board,the Executive Secretary and two other Directors have been sacked with  immediate effect.

Addressing newsmen today shortly after the meeting held at zakkat headquarters in Gusau,the board  chairman, Professor Kabiru Jabaka disclosed that board members have raised the alarm that some retired workers were sabotaging the efforts of distribution of Zakkat and Endowment to less privileged persons in the state.

Professor Jabaka revealed that 13 out of 15 board members have passed vote of no confidence on the executive secretary Mallam Bashir Surajo and two of his Directors Mallam Ibrahim Tudu and Mallam Dalhatu Jauri.

According to the chairman of the board the tenure for the executive secretary Mallam Bashir Surajo has expired,

“Base on the law that establish the board and power given to us,we all agreed that from today the Executive Secretary and two Directors are here by remove from their appointment, their tenure in Office has expired.”

The board has also appoint  secretary Aliyu Musa Mafara who would serve on acting capacity  pending when a substantive executive secretary would be appointed.

Professor Jabaka assured state government that all members were  committed to the success of all programs of Zakkat and Endowment Board in the state.
