Burundi New President: “The Nation is in Safe Hand”
Burundi President – elect, Evariste Ndayishimiye has appeared at the State House in Bujumbura to sign condolence register on the demise of his mentor.
He told his countrymen : the nation is safe and secure.
Contrary to reports that the new Leader was under intensive care,the visit this morning lay to rest speculations about his state of health.
Ndayishimiye is already endorsed by United States jas several western governments . The Burundi constitutional count also ruled on Friday that the new Leader should be enthroned as soon as possible.
General Neva as called by name during the civil war in his message to Burundians assured that he has learnt a lot from the former President and that he has sufficient counselling from late Nkuruziza to be able to govern Burundi successfully.
He therefore urged his countrymen to go about their daily activities in peace,assuring that the nation is safe and secure.
