Zamfara Emir Laments Electricity Crisis
The Emir of Kaura Namoda in Zamfara State,retired Major Sanusi Muhammad Asha has described shortage of electricity supply in his emirate as threat to Social and economic development of his Emirate.
Emir Sanusi Muhammad Asha made the disclosure when he received officials of Kaura Namoda Empowerment and Development Forum (KANEDEF) today who paid him a visit at his Palace in Kaura Namoda.
He maintained that the Business hub Kaura Namoda is the second largest city in Zamfara State with abundant Human and Natural Resources with lots of Business opportunities but couldn’t be utilize due to lack of power supply.
The Emir Explained that the renown ancient city of Kaura Namoda (a Rail way terminal of the northern part of the country) has faced set back in terms of Commercial activities.
“My emirate have agricultural potentials that requires medium and small entrepreneurs to boost the production of cash and food crops as well as to providing job opportunities for youths has witnessed set back due to lack of Power Supply”.
He therefore assured people of the Emirate his determination to collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure adequate Power supply which he expressed optimism that, it will reduce crime and improve security of the Emirate.
“all hands need to be on desk to revamp the Emirate in all Ramifications”.
Earlier on,the Secretary of KANEDEF Mukhtar Lawal Abubakar disclosed their commitment towards ensuring adequate and steady power Supply to Kaura Namoda.
In his remarked the spokesperson of the Forum, Abdulrazak Bello Kaura expressed satisfaction on the leadership style of the new emir for his all inclusive administration.
“The Forum(KANEDEF) is setting machineries to ensure the emirate excel,he assured.
