#NEPAD to Hold 2nd Webinar on African High Speed Rail Project
The AU New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD) has scheduled a second webinar for tommorow Wednesday, focussing on the financing and advocacy for the African Integrated High-Speed Railway Network (AIHSRN): Connecting Africa through agenda 2063.
In a statement issued by the Project Advisor, M. Louis Napo Gnagbe, the webinar is slated for August 26 between 2-3pm South African time through Zoom live.
The African High-Speed Rail Project is generating deep interest among Africans, friends of Africa and potential investors. The boldness of the project arising from African Union Agenda 2063 excites many stakeholders especially after the first webinar which focused on taking the implementation phase to the next level.

Part of opportunities is to draw up an overview of the efforts made at the level of the African continent and the mechanisms put in place by African railway networks; share good practices through the analysis of cases of some African networks; open discussions on the scenarios for recovery and actions to be undertaken and; consider options to take African high-speed railway project to the next level.
