Buhari Working Hard To Give Nigerians The Best In Transportation – Akume

Minister of special duties, George Akume, has said that President Mohammadu Buhari is working hard to promote development in the country through the provisions of adequate transportation system.

According to Akume, a project was initiated to disburse about 2000 buses to cooperative society in Nigeria. This was a project done between the ministry of special duties and inter-governmental affairs and ministry of Agriculture.

The Minister, during the commissioning of buses in Abuja yesterday, said there is no way a country can develop without good transportation system.

He said, this explains why the President is working hard in the area of road transportation, rail transportation, and air transportation to give Nigerians the best in terms of transportation.

Akume said, The Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-governmental affairs Ministry of Agriculture, and other ministries are working very hard to ensure the material that is issuing this project, adding that they do not want their integrity to be brought under question, which brings them to the purpose of the noble project.

He further said, the president is also working hard to promote rail transportation system and also to put Nigerian roads in good condition

“There is no way you can promote development without transportation and this explains why the President is working so promote rail transportation and Nigerian roads in good condition.

“At this period when there is fuel price increase, more busses are required on the road to check the public transport owners who may want to take advantage of the situation to extort Nigerians.

“Trust is enshrined in what we are doing and we don’t want our activities to be brought under questioning.”
