NEPAD, Power Africa Renew Cooperation
African Union Development agency, AUDA-NEPAD and Power Africa, a United States Initiative have renewed their MOU to increase electricity access across the continent.
“With the pressing challenges the pandemic has brought to light, it’s important to bolster African energy infrastructure as part of a comprehensive approach,” Amb. Jessye Lapenn said at the event.
NEPAD boss, Dr Ibrahim Maiyaki said the cooperation between AUDA-NEPAD and Power Africa marks the convergence of our shared vision of increasing access to clean energy thru national, regional and continental electricity markets, anchored on national and trans-boundary infrastructure.
The acting Coordinator of Power Africa , Mark Carrato expressed his excitement ,declaring “I am very pleased and excited to renew Power Africa’s commitment with #AUDA-NEPAD to jointly seek solutions to energy challenges on the continent.
