ACCI Restates Commitment To Continue Fostering Business Relationships Between Nigeria And African Countries
The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has restated its commitment to continue fostering business relationships between Nigeria and other African countries to work towards improving intra African trade.
Director General of the Chamber, Ms Victoria Akai stated this on Wednesday in Abuja during an occasion organised to celebrate the International Coffee and Tea Day with the theme Unlocking Industry through Culture, Entrepreneurship and Branding Nigeria’s Local Content organised by Reworth Integrated Services Limited in Collaboration with the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Abuja.
The DG who observed that in Abuja one could hardly see African made coffee in supermarkets, even though the raw materials for the foreign product came from Africa, said that it was time to begin to celebrate and market African products to the world.
“Africans are Africa’s biggest market” she stated adding that “We as the chamber will continue to do our best to foster business relationships between Nigeria and other African countries to work towards improving intra African trade”.
“We look forward to the commencement of the AfCFTA through which we also look forward to seeing more trade relations between Nigeria and Ethiopia” she added.
The DG also used the medium to invite guests to the Abuja International Trade Fair where she encouraged them to look out for the Ethiopian stand assuring that they would find more coffee.
