S/West PDP: Senator Adeleke Congratulates Arapaja, Elected Officers

*Lauds Secondus, party leaders for a peaceful exercise…

Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke has congratulated Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja on his emergence as the Zonal Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Southwest, commending the Prince Uche Secondus-led National Working Committee (NWC) for the transparency and fairness in the conduct of the Congress, most importantly for allowing and encouraging internal democracy to thrive in the party.

This was contained in a congratulatory message he personally signed on Tuesday, saying the outcome of the Congress was a victory for all and should further unites the party.

“I congratulate Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja on his emergence as the Zonal Chairman of our great party, PDP in the Southwest and also congratulate Dr Eddy Olafeso for his sportsmanship spirit, no winner no vanquish. PDP wins! Senator Adeleke added.

“My congratulations also goes to other executive members of the zone elected by delegates at the Congress. This is a call to serve and I hope they would do well to justify the huge confidence reposed in them through their election.”

Senator Adeleke appreciates Governor Seyi Makinde for living up to the billing as the leader of the party in the zone, thanking ex-Governor Ayodele Fayose and his team for the courage they exhibited.

“Of much importance are the delegates and leaders of the party across board whose tolerate, maturity and commitment to PDP made the Congress a peaceful exercise and one that has gone to project our party as a champion of internal democracy,” he said.

“On the successful Congress, I congratulate Prince Uche Secondus for making it a possibility, and appreciation also goes to leaders of the party, who in one way or the other, contributed to the peaceful exercise.”
