“Activist By Day Hustler By Night” As Festus Keymo Slams Eedris Abdulkareem
Popular veteran artist Eedris Abdulkareem has come under critisim for his new song ‘’jaga jaga reloaded’’.
Notably the State Minister of Labour, Festus Keyamo, SAN, called the veteran an “Activist my day hustler my night” stating that he was trying to blackmail the government for not giving into his demands during the 2019 Election campaign.
He further provided evidence of the text message conversations he had with him where Abdulkareem begged to part of the Buhari Campaign team and was told the that there where no financial gains attached to it if he joined.
The “jaga jaga” crooner then pleaded with the minister to borrow him 1.3million to foot his hotel bills and take care of his mother that was sick and also declared his support for the APC and Buhari’s re-election saying he was going to serve both body and soul before he pitched tent with the Atiku Campaign team and PDP after his demands weren’t met by APC.
This not the first the time the artist will be called out by a top government official as the then President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, slammed Abdulkareem and called him an unpatriotic citizen over the release of his viral song “jaga jaga” which was about the ills of the Nigerian society.
According to the minister, he described the “jaga jaga reloaded” as a means for Abdulkareem to vent his frustration of not getting into the system after APC’s victory at the 2019 general polls.
