AHAN Mentors Women, Youths In Agro Processing, Productivity Enhancements

The Special Adviser to the President on Ease of Doing Business was recently the Special Guest speaker at the Aquatic Hub Afrique Network (AHAN) mentoring session for women and youth participants in the Agro Processing, Productivity Enhancement and Livelihood Improvement Support (APPEALS) Project.

AHAN focuses primarily on Aquaculture within the Agriculture sector with the aim of creating and expanding employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for target groups along the aquaculture value chain.

The mentoring session was recently renamed to preserve the legacy of the Late Rear Admiral Olufemi Olumide who served as the Life Grand Patron of AHAN. The Agro Processing, Productivity Enhancement and Livelihood Improvement Support (APPEALS) Project is a six-year project developed by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) in collaboration with the World Bank and other stakeholders.

Other notable invited guests at the session were the Ogun State Commissioner of Agriculture, Dr Adeola Odedina, Daughter of the late Rare Admiral, Mrs Dayo Benjamins-Laniyi, as well as the Women and Youth Specialist of the Lagos State APPEALS Project, Ms. Akinola Olawunmi.
