Police arraign Portable over alleged assault

The Ogun State Police Command has arraigned singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable on six counts bordering on assault.

The “Zaazu” crooner was arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting in Ifo, Ogun State on Monday morning.

Policemen had on Thursday invaded Portable’s bar with the singer resisting arrest. He was subsequently taken into custody on Friday.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi had said portable has more than six charges to attend to apart from resisting arrest and injuring a policeman.

“He will be charged to court for beating up a guy in Ota, who filed a petition to CP Ogun,” Adejobi tweeted.

“There are many pending cases of assaults on peoplep and attacks, and he will be investigated because people have complained against him.

“So, there is no sentiment in law, let him appear in court, and allow the judge to listen to the charges against him. He has no constitutional immunity anyway.”

I am sure u are very awake as i have addressed MCs case, but portable has more than 6 count charges to attend to, apart from resisting arrest and injuring a police man. He will be charged to court for beating up a guy in otta, who fired a petition to CP Ogun.
