‘We will build Osun State universities to world standard’ – Governor Adeleke

The Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has described Osun State University as a shining light among other universities in the world, promising to further support the growth of the State universities and build them to World standard.

The Governor stated this while receiving a team of the College of Law of the University, led by the provost, Professor Mojeed Alabi in his Office at the State Secretariat, Abere.

He said he is proud about the institution being a Peoples’ Democratic Party’s legacy under the administration of former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola.

Governor Adeleke for the umpteenth time reiterated his commitment to support the growth and development of the university so as to further produce first class graduates that will be generally acceptable and marketable in the labour market.

Speaking earlier, the Provost, College of Law, Osun State University, Ifetedo Campus who led the team to the Governor, commended him for his humility and his style of governance which he said has touched every sector in the State.

He used the occasion to invite the Governor as a visitor to the third in the series of distinguished personality lecture of the College of Law of the university slated for the 31st of May, 2023 and expected to be delivered by a retired Hon. Justice Mojeed Owoade with the theme, ” Supreme Court of Nigeria and recent development in public law”.

In the same vein, Governor Adeleke also promised to build the University of Ilesa to a world standard, called on the university administrators to sustain the tempo of best practice and professionalism, adding that the university and their colleges must continue to be run transparently and responsibly.

He further commended the management and the board of the university for doing a great job, charging them to keep the good work moving.

Present at the meeting were: the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, Head of Service, Mr Ayanleye Aina and a host of others.
