The inauguration of the eighth state legislative Assembly in Osun State was held at the Chambers of the State House Of Assembly in Osogbo.
A member representing Odo-Otin State Constituency, Adewale Egbedun, was elected as the Speaker of the Assembly.
The State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, shared pictures from the inauguration on his Twitter handle.
He congratulated the newly elected members saying, “At the inauguration of the Eighth Assembly of Osun State, I implored the newly sworn-in members to focus on the delivery of good governance. We must deliver public goods to the citizenry in the most efficient manner. Our task as elected officials is service to the people.
“Congratulations to the newly elected Honourable Speaker, Adewale Egbedun and Deputy Speaker, Oyewusi Ireyode of the Osun State House of Assembly.
“Our administration will ensure a harmonious relationship to guarantee a greater Osun State.”
