Hey Naija Crypto fam,
In this world of crypto and online investments, opportunities come fast—but so do the scams. That’s why it’s super important to do thorough research before putting your money into ANY project.
Don’t just follow hype—ask questions!
Before investing, ask:
• What does the project do?
• Who are the people behind it?
• Is there a real product or service?
• How does it make money (and how do you earn)?
• Is the whitepaper clear and realistic?
Spotting a Ponzi Scheme 101:
A Ponzi scheme is a fraud disguised as an investment. It pays early investors with the money from new ones—until the money runs out.
Red flags to look out for:
• Guaranteed high returns with little or no risk
• No clear product or business model
• Pressure to recruit others
• No transparency or vague answers
• You earn mainly from bringing people in, not from real business activity
Remember this rule: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
DYOR = Do Your Own Research
Even if a friend or influencer recommends a project, still do your own digging. Protect your money like your life depends on it—because sometimes, your peace of mind does.
Let’s grow together, not fall together.
