The Public Relations Officer of the People’s Democratic Party, Osun State chapter Hon. Jacob Areola Ayodeji has debunked the viral news about his defection to the All Progressives Congress party, stating that “His Elephant remains in PDP”.
In a statement signed personally by Hon. Jacob, he emphasized that he remain a staunch stalwart of PDP.
His words “My attention has been called to a social media giration by an Apc chieftain, MP Oluwole Oke, in which my image was projected to the public as a possible Apc joiner.I want to assure our party faithful in Osun State and beyond, who have inundated me with calls and messages over the newly found past time of Hon Oke on social media, that I remain a staunch stalwart of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party and the State Public Relation Officer (PRO) of our great party in Osun State.
” I GO NOWHERE! Our people should be reminded that since I served as the pioneer chairman of my Party, the PDP in Oriade local government between 1998 and 2001, I have not had any cause to shift base because the PDP has been good to me.
” As a matter of fact, if political platforms are actually meant to serve the people, then, I have no cause to leave the PDP that is serving the general good of our people under the administration of His Excellency, Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.
“I especially want to call on great members of our party in Oriade local government and indeed Osun State, to disregard any calculated impression to use my name to augment the drama being played by MP Oke.For sake of emphasis, I remain a member of the State Working Committee of our great party, the PDP in Osun State. I have no intention as I don’t have any cause to leave the party that I have served since inception and that has also served my political trajectory so meritoriously.
“The PDP made me the Political Elephant that I am, and I am happy deploying the weight and magnitude of my Elephant size to serve our people through the PDP. I thank you all for your love. He added.
