…Pledges Unwavering Support Ahead of the 2026 Governorship Election
The Osun Grassroots Media Team, under the initiative tagged Aseyori Imole Osun, held its fourth strategic conference today, reaffirming its commitment to promoting good governance and the transformative leadership of His Excellency, Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke. The event, which brought together team representatives from all 30 local government areas and the Area Council of Modakeke, culminated in a public endorsement of the Governor for a second term in office.
As the 2026 Osun governorship election draws nearer and the political atmosphere intensifies, loyalists and stakeholders across various political divides have begun to declare their allegiances. The Osun Grassroots Media Team, in a bold and strategic move, unanimously endorsed Governor Adeleke as the most capable and visionary candidate to sustain and deepen the developmental strides currently underway in the state.
During the conference, it was inspiring as a result of presence of Governor’s Spokesperson, members critically analyzed the achievements of the present administration and unanimously agreed that Governor Adeleke has delivered impressively across all sectors. The team noted that his outstanding performance has not only silenced critics but has positioned him as the best governor Osun State has produced in recent history. His fulfillment of campaign promises made in 2022, particularly in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, youth empowerment, security, energy, and rural development, formed the basis of the team’s endorsement.
In his address, the Spokesperson to the Executive Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed (MOR), commended the grassroots media team for their consistent support and commitment to promoting the administration’s agenda. He applauded the team’s efforts in disseminating accurate information and defending the integrity of the Adeleke-led administration at the grassroots level.
Mallam Rasheed further reassured members that Governor Adeleke remains committed to the people and will not betray the trust reposed in him. He encouraged the team to remain steadfast and proactive in their media engagements, emphasizing the importance of their role in shaping public perception and sustaining support for the administration.
Highlighting the achievements of the administration, the Governor’s Spokesperson listed completed and ongoing projects across multiple sectors, including road infrastructure, education, health, agriculture, youth development, security, power, and community-driven initiatives. He also used the opportunity to equip members of the grassroots media team with key facts and figures to enhance their advocacy and media outreach efforts across their respective localities.
The interactive session allowed members to ask questions, share observations, and reaffirm their unflinching support for Governor Adeleke’s re-election bid in 2026. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and collective resolve to ensure continuity of the people-centered governance Osun State is currently experiencing.
Other dignitaries in attendance were Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media Monitoring, Comrade Samakin Abdul-Jeleel Abiodun; Senior Special Assistant on Broadcast, Hon. Abdulraheem Adekilekun; Senior Special Assistant on Intergovernmental Affairs, Hon. Mustapha Akintegbe; and Special Assistant on Media, Hon. Sola Isola (Prof), alongside active grassroots media representatives from across the 30 local government areas of Osun State and the Modakeke Area Council.
