Osun Accord Mocks APC’s Desperation, Dismisses Phantom Division Tales

Accord in Osun State has dismissed as laughable and desperate the futile attempts by the rejected All Progressives Congress (APC) to manufacture a non-existent crisis within the Accord, using what it described as political non-starters and expired actors.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Chairman of Accord in Osun State, Pastor Victor Akande, said the antics of APC only confirm the party’s deep awareness of its total rejection by the good people of Osun State ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.

According to Pastor Akande, “The APC’s obsession with Accord is a clear admission of fear and failure bound to happen. They know they have lost Osun State politically and electorally, and their last resort is to sponsor confusion where none exists. This desperation is both futile and embarrassing.”

Accord Chairman urged the people of Osun State to clearly identify their political enemies and be ready to stand firm against them, stressing that Osun sons and daughters are no longer willing to be taken for granted or dragged back to the dark era of misgovernance.

“It is important for our people to know that the APC represents a real and present danger to the collective progress of Osun State. The people must remain vigilant and resolute in standing up to forces that once plunged the state into hardship and now seek a revenge mission,” he said.

Pastor Akande further explained that the National Working Committee (NWC) of Accord, under the leadership of Barrister Maxwell Ngbudem, has consistently carried out its constitutional responsibility of nominating candidates across the country without controversy.

“The same Accord NWC successfully conducted nomination processes in Anambra and Ekiti States. The same NWC also nominated candidates for the recent local government elections in Nasarawa State, where our party won councillorship seats. At those times, these modern-day faction choristers were fast asleep,” he noted.

He added that the sudden noise around Osun State is solely because the APC is fully aware that it stands no electoral chance against the overwhelmingly accepted and unbeatable Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.

“One is forced to ask whether the only strategy left in the APC’s exhausted playbook is to orchestrate sinister plots aimed at preventing Governor Adeleke from appearing on the ballot, in order to impose a fait accompli on Osun State. This is part of their failed attempt to return the people to an era of vengeance-driven and sadistic governance,” Pastor Akande stated.

The Accord reassured the vibrant and forward-looking people of Osun State to remain focused on consolidating the visible gains recorded under Governor Adeleke’s administration.

“While they busy themselves with their usual shenanigans, we urge our people to stay committed to the collective goal of building a better Osun State for ourselves and generations yet unborn,” the statement added.

Pastor Akande reaffirmed that Barrister Maxwell Ngbudem remains the only legally recognised National Chairman of the Accord Party, stressing that statutory records are publicly available for all discerning Nigerians to verify on the portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

“Anything outside this reality is nothing but an end-of-year comedy staged by political charlatans and desperate looters lurking in the shadows, hoping to return Osun State to the dark days of agony in order to feast again on public resources,” the statement concluded
