Adeleke celebrates Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba Abolarin, on birthday

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has congratulated the Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba Dr. Adeokun Omoniyi Abolarin, Aroyinkeye I, on his birthday.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, on Friday, Adeleke described the monarch as a traditional ruler whose commitment to education and the welfare of the less privileged had distinguished his reign and contributed to the development of his people.
The governor particularly commended Oba Abolarin for establishing Abolarin College, a free boarding school founded to provide indigent but brilliant children with access to quality education.
Adeleke noted that the school had provided students with tuition-free education, accommodation, feeding and other essential support needed to pursue their studies.
“Today, I celebrate a Royal Father whose reign has shown that traditional leadership can be used to directly transform lives,” Adeleke said.
He said the establishment of Abolarin College remained a clear demonstration of the monarch’s belief that poverty should not prevent brilliant children from accessing quality education.
“Your establishment of Abolarin College remains a remarkable expression of your belief that poverty should never deny a brilliant child the opportunity to receive quality education,” the governor said.
Adeleke also commended the monarch’s commitment to Oke-Ila, education and the broader cause of humanity, while praying for his continued good health and many more years on the throne.
“On your birthday, Kabiyesi, I salute your commitment to Oke-Ila, to education and to the larger cause of humanity. May Almighty God continue to grant you good health, and many more years on the throne.
“Happy birthday, Your Royal Majesty. May your reign continue to bring blessings to our people and generations yet unborn,” he said.
