The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) has pledged to deliver 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in Osun State in the forthcoming presidential election following the appointment of Governor Ademola Adeleke as the state coordinator of the president’s campaign council.
The council described the appointment as well deserved, expressing confidence that Adeleke would mobilise support for Tinubu across the state.
In a statement signed by its Director-General, Senator Kamarudeen Olalere Oyewumi, the council said all Accord Party structures in Osun would work towards the president’s re-election.
It added that the appointment reflected Tinubu’s confidence in Adeleke’s ability to secure massive electoral support for him in the state.
The statement read, “The Imole Campaign Council welcomes the appointment of Governor Adeleke as State Coordinator of the PBAT Presidential Campaign Council in Osun.
“The appointment is a well-deserved one. We assure the President that his confidence in the ability of Governor Adeleke to deliver Osun in the presidential election will not be misplaced.
“We promise the President, just as Governor Adeleke said some time ago, that we will deliver 1.5 million votes to ensure his victory in the coming presidential election.”
The council also urged residents to continue supporting Adeleke, saying the governor remained committed to fulfilling his campaign promises.
It called on the people of Osun to sustain the support they gave Adeleke during the governorship election, adding that backing Tinubu in the presidential poll would also strengthen the governor’s political position.
“Our message to the people of Osun State is to keep trusting and supporting Governor Adeleke as he continues to deliver on his campaign promises. A vote for President Tinubu is a support for Governor Adeleke,” the statement added.
