The governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in Osun 2018 governorship election and a current contender for the top sear, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke may have gained widespread support from party delegates and leaders across the state.
The aspirant had visited the zones for consultation which has turned out to be huge campaign rallies.
The visitation was rounded up today with another huge political rallies in two major constituencies, Osogbo and Ikirun zonès.
Party delegates and supporters of the PDP from Osogbo and Ikirun federal constituencies stand still for Senator Adeleke, a frontline governorship aspirant of the peoples Democratic Party for the March 7 guber primary.
Adeleke who had traversed the nine federal constituencies of Osun state in the last one week was received by mammoth crowd first at Osogbo and later at Ikirun.
The consultative tour which was meant to solicit support of delegates for the primary turned out to be a political carnival not only st Osogbo and Ikirun but in other constituencies like Iwo,Irewola,Ife,Ilesa and Ede, the aspirants home town.
At Osogbo, Senator Adeleke commended the high level of support which he said confirmed the readiness of the people for a PDP government.
” I am overwhelmed by massive show of support everywhere we went. Across the constituencies, what we planned as closed door meeting was turned into massive rally by our supporters. You have encouraged me and reassured me of your backing. I am ready to lead the party to victory “, Adeleke stated.
“I urge us not to relent. Mobilise and vote massively. More importantly, we must protect our votes from desperate election riggers.
“To all Osun people , I say light has come and the darkness that has enveloped the state will soon disappear. Light shall triumph over darkness.
” I will not take this show of love and affection for granted. I will not disappoint you. Your aspirations will not be neglected. Ours will be a truly people’s government “, he told the surging crowd.
The chairman of the Adeleke Apex forum, Professor Wale Oladipo described the tour of the constituencies as ” a manifestation of political strength and solid grassroots base of Senator Adeleke.
” This tour has proven to any doubting thomass that the man to win Osun for PDP is Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke. From one zone to the other, it looks like PDP with Ademola as a candidate is heading towards 30 over 30.
” It therefore time for those who truly love the party to support the Imole project to return PDP to the government house. There is no other proof than what we have witnessed across the nine federal constituencies -Ademola Adeleke is the anointed of God and people”, he said.
