… Predicts Party’s Victory in Ekiti and Osun Guber polls
The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has charged all candidates that emerged for various elective positions in the recently conducted party’s primaries in the country to be magnanimous in victory and embrace other aspirants in order to ensure victory for themselves and the party in the 2023 general elections.
Ambassador Arapaja stated this during the meeting he held with relevant stakeholders including all aspirants and candidates that participated in the said primary elections, saying that the move was to bridge all gaps that occured as a result of possible effect of the primary elections with a view to seeking unity among the party faithful.
In a release issued by his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim after the meeting and made available to journalists in Ibadan, Ambassador Arapaja stated that it was necessary to close all ranks as everybody was needed to be on board and work in unison to win the forthcoming election.
While addressing the party faithful at his Felele residence, Ibadan, Ambassador Arapaja asserted that though all politics is local, all hands should be on deck to ensure victory for the party in this all important general elections which will birth the journey into greatness in Nigeria.
According to him, “like I always reiterate let us disagree to agree, there is no gain in being an opposition at any level, let us work for our victory in the forthcoming election.
I must add that irrespective of the outcome of the primary, everyone will be perfectly compensated and all candidates need to be magnanimous in victory. Let us have the spirit of oneness and make sure all who contested the primary elections are well compensated as and when due, as only this can solidify the unity in the party.
On the forthcoming gubernatorial elections in Ekiti and Osun States, we are of great hope that our party will win and both candidates of PDP Bisi Kolawole and Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke will triumph as this will send a great signal to the ruling party to start preparing to hand over to the PDP in May, 2023. For this to be achieved, we all need to be prayerful and work harder for the party.” Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja enthused.
