The Civil Defence Correctional Fire and Immigration Services Board has approved over 17,000 senior officers’ 2022 promotional results.
For the Nigerian Correctional Service, 8,365 officers were promoted; 3,472 in the Nigeria Immigration Service; 327 officers in the Federal Fire Service; and 5,167 officers in the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
The Chairman of the Board, Rauf Aregbesola disclosed this after the Board’s meeting which was held on Tuesday 23rd May 2023 at the Board’s headquarters in Abuja.
Aregbesola, in a statement signed by the Board’s Secretary, Ja’afaru Ahmed and made available to our correspondent on Sunday, said that the approval was made taking cognisance of the merit and performance of the officers.
The Chairman of the Board Congratulated the newly promoted officers adding that their promotion was a call for service to the Ministry of Interior, the Board, and their respective services.
He also urged them to work harder towards achieving mandates, visions of their respective services and ensuring the internal security of the country.
