The Honourable Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun alongside five other State Assembly Speakers, have been inaugurated into a 6-man Caretaker Committee for the Conference of Speakers of States Legislatures in Nigeria.
A statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Olamide Tiamiyu, on Thursday disclosed that Egbedun was selected a member of the 6-man Caretaker Committee during the Technical session/induction for speakers of States Houses of Assembly in Nigeria.
The session which was held at Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja, is organised by the Strategic Partner (PERL- ECP) in partnership with Conference of Speakers of States’ Legislatures of Nigeria.
The opening remark of the event was delivered by the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who is the Immediate Past Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly.
The event is expected to foster deeper synergy between State Houses of Assembly and help them deliver on their mandates more efficiently.
