In a press statement signed by his media unit, it noted that, the People’s Democratic Party chairman in Iwo local government, Alhaji Alidu Tiamiyu who led the enthusiastic crowd in the city to welcome the senator, appreciated him for keeping to his electioneering promises in facilitating developmental projects to the district.
“The two roads which were facilitated for construction by Senator Oyewumi are being undertaken by the Red Truss Nigeria Limited and work is already ongoing on the projects.
“Speaking at a brief ceremony, the PDP chairman in Iwo enjoined the people of the ancient town to sustain their support for the senator as the achievement is unprecedented in the history of the district.
“We can now see that we have elected the best and capable man as a Senator,” he remarked, adding that “For a senator to have facilitated a road project to his district within this short period of his assumption of office speaks volumes of his capability. I, therefore urge you all to continue supporting him as your representative”.
Also at the event is former chairman of Iwo Local Government Alh. Sulaimon Bello who also appreciated Senator Lere Oyewumi and urged him to do more for Iwo and other towns in Osun west.
The senator who appreciated the people of Iwo for their trust in him as demonstrated with their votes in the last election, promised to remain committed to driving developmental projects for the district.
He assured the people of Iwo and Osun West District as a whole of exploring every opportunity for meaningful progress, declaring that the people will have the best in him.
