The Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Communications, Senator Ajagunla Fadeyi, representing Osun Central Senatorial District, is set to flag off the construction of 10 kilometers rural roads in the senatorial district, a significant development propelled by the N2billion Intervention Fund launched earlier.
In a statement signed by Senator Fadeyi on Friday, he said there is an ongoing mobilization of construction equipment as part of the underway preparations for the commencement of the project scheduled for Monday 5th February, 2024.
As part of the initiative funded by the N2Billion Intervention Fund launched few weeks ago, Fadeyi strategically leverages the dry season weather to initiate this infrastructure development in Osun Central senatorial district.
“The construction of these roads will significantly improve transportation and socio-economic activities in Osun Central senatorial district especially in boosting agricultural products and improve our feeder roads. This will help our farmers to bring food items from the farms to markets within their areas. However, I remain commited to enhancing rural accessibility and connectivity within Osun Central Senatorial District”, Ajagunla noted in his statement.
