Residents of Oke-Gada, Ede North Local Government Area, Osun State, have been alerted of a controlled blast that will happen on Thursday.
This was disclosed by spokesperson of the Osun State Police Command, SP Yemisi Opalola in a statement on Wednesday, made available to newsmen in Osogbo.
According to Opalola the blast will occure in view of the ongoing road dualization/construction embarked upon by the state government at Ede town.
She, however, assured that the blast will be coordinated by the Osun Police Explosive Ordinance Department (EOD) to facilitate/enhance smooth and speedy construction of the road project by Osun State Ministry of Works.
She urged members of the public, especially the residents of the area to steer clear of the environment to prevent any unforeseen circumstances.
“The Police Command assures the members of public of adequate security of lives and property” she said.
