The President Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Dr Al-Mujtaba Abubakar joined other leaders across the world to congratulate all Muslim faithfuls as they celebrate this year’s Eid Mubarak today.
Dr Abubakar said this celebration is significant to Muslims as it reminds them of Ibrahim’s obedience, prompting them in turn to consider their own obedience to God.
He also said Eid is a chance to multiply good deeds by bringing happiness and pleasure to the hearts of other Muslims, by helping and supporting the poor and needy, and by getting involved in pastimes that emphasise strong and serious Islamic character.
“Muslims may ask for forgiveness for times when they have not been fully devoted to God and pray for strength to be devoted in the future.”
He urged everyone to use this time of celebration to pray for peace to be restored to Nigeria adding that when there is peace there will be business growth that will lead to economic development.
