The Civil Society Organisations (CSO) have partnered ASA Health on the sensitization of residents to receive their COVID-19 jabs to boost their immune systems.
The jabs sensitization is supported by the British Council and funded by the European Union (EU).
While flagging off the jabs, yesterday (Monday), in Damaturu, the Executive Director of ASA Health, Mohammed Annur, said: “The hesitations of some residents to take the COVID-19 jabs, do not affect male and female fertilities, as erroneously believed among the people.”
He added that the World Health Organisation (WHO), CSOs, the State’s Primary Health Care Management Board, Othman Memorial Foundation and the Police have sensitized the people in the three senatorial districts of Yobe state in north, south and east.
He said that it’s important to take the jabs, as well as prevent the people from becoming drug addicts in society.
He warned that drug abuse among people could ruin one’s brains and future.
