Boko Haram Terrorists Kills Three Borno Farmers

The Boko Haram terrorists have on Wednesday killed three farmers in Konduga local council of Borno state.

The bodies of the farmers were recovered on the fringe of Sambisa Forest, while working on their farmlands.

Confirming the incident, yesterday (Thursday), in Maiduguri, the Theatre Commander, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), Maj-Gen. Christopher Musa, disclosed that the attacks on Gajeri village led to deep machete cuts and bullet wounds on the slain farmers.”  

He added that the terrorists on motorcycles; demanded for food items, before they could continue with their nefarious activities in communities of Borno state.

Besides, he noted that when the farmers could not meet the demands for food items, they however surrounded them with sporadic shootings on them and air.

Modu Aisami, a survivor of Wednesday’s attack; lamented that one of the farmers escaped with gunshot wounds.

According to him, two farmers that survived that attack were also butchered by the insurgents with cutlasses and knives.

He further disclosed that terrorists were suspected to have burst from Gazuwa community in Bama Council.

 Troops of 21 Armoured Brigade, Bama in collaboration with Civilian JTF on August 2, 2022 stormed the Boko Haram camp and neutralized scores of terrorists.

The OPHK sustained strategic counter-terrorisms operations has fueled “hunger and starvation” in the Boko Haram various camps of forest and Lake Chad region.

“The operations have forced them to resort to attacking villages and farms to secure more foodstuffs, money, medicines among other logistic materials,” said Musa.
