Osun Monarch, Olokinni join ancestors

The Olokinni of Okinni land in Egbedore local government area of Osun State, Oba Akadiri Okanola has joined his ancestors.

According to report, Oba Okanola died in the early hours of Saturday in an undisclosed hospital in Osogbo.

Former Chairman of Egbedore Area Council, Okinni, Mr Saheed Opatunji announced the demise of the monarch on his Facebook page.

He wrote; “Erin wo ajanaku sun mi Oke. Is a great suck when i heard the departure of my lovely Kabiyesi Olokinni of Okinni. May Almagity Allah grant him Aljanah Fridaus Olokinni of Okinni Oba Akadri Okanola sun re ooooo.”

The cause of his death cannot be immediately ascertain as at the time of filing this report.

Oba Okunola was installed in 1991 and reigned for 32 years.

He has been buried according to Islamic rites today.
