Governor Adeleke Resigns From PDP Amid National Leadership Crisis

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has formally resigned his membership from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a letter dated November 4, 2025, and addressed to the Chairman of the PDP, Sagba Abogunde Ward 2 in Ede, Governor Adeleke said his decision takes immediate effect.

“Due to the current crisis of the national leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), I hereby resign my membership of the People’s Democratic Party with immediate effect,” the governor wrote.

Adeleke expressed gratitude to the PDP for providing him the platform to emerge as Senator representing Osun West and later as Governor of Osun State.

“I thank the People’s Democratic Party for the opportunities given to me for my elections as a Senator (Represented Osun West) and as Governor of Osun State under the People’s Democratic Party,” he stated.

The resignation letter was acknowledged and received by Saka Kamolideen Alamu, Ward Party Chairman of Sagba/Abogunde Ward 2, Ede North, with reference number LG0471/2025.
