MAY 1st: PDP Governors’ Forum Felicitates With Nigerian Workers

…upholds the tenets of dedication and good reward

The People’s Democratic Party Governors’ Forum, PDP-GF, under the chairmanship of His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON, the Governor of Bauchi State, on behalf of other member-Governors heartily felicitates the Nigeria Workers on this year’s global “Worker’s Day”.

The Forum specially focuses on the Nigerian Worker who in all ramifications has become a symbol of resilience and dedication and whose yearning for innovation and high productivity has remained the nerve centre in building the Nigeria of our dreams.

We celebrate the leadership of the Labour Unions across the nation for remaining accessible in their resolution to galvanize improved working conditions backed with high productivity for the nation’s growth.

The timely life-saving interventions by its member-Governors to mitigate the economic hardship caused by the abrupt Federal Government’s total removal of fuel subsidy in May 2023 has clearly proven them as most worker-friendly natured.

Also, with the pacesetting records set by our member States in improved workers’ welfare through regular payment of salaries without delays, workers’ minimum wages compliance, clearance of inherited backlog of pensions and gratuities, approving promotion of workers and payment of allowances/arrears and bonuses, digitization of payrolls, workers’ training and efficiency optimization programs, provision of transportation and healthcare palliative etc are all evidences of willingly building a healthy relationship with the Labour force.

The Forum’s prayer is the safety of lives and properties of the citizens in a united nation where unemployment and poverty are reduced thus creating an atmosphere for friendly association and a further guarantee of opportunities for the growth of this generation’s workforce and the generation next.

“We celebrate you all on this great day!
