National Association of Nigerian Students (NANs) Joint Campus Council, Osun state axis, has affirmed the election of Comrade Solomon Ayobami Abel as the Legitimate Chairman for the 2024/2025 session, while condemning illegitimate press conference from some impostors.
The body made this known in a press statement released on Thursday,which was made available to newsmen in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.
According to the communique, Com. Solomon Ayobami Abel (AY Aluta) was elected legitimately during NANS/JCC Osun Axis Convention on October 30,2024 held at the NUJ Hall in Osogbo, under the strict supervision of Security agencies in the state.
The group, also explained that some impostors who recently staged illegitimate press conference in JCC name has been officially suspended because they brought insult to NANS values.
NANS body, however assured the state Governor, Sen. Ademola Adeleke and citizens that the integrity and unity of the Osun student body will not be compromised by pretenders, while adding that the body will continue to advocate Adeleke’s peaceful values.

Press Release: Exposing and Condemning Impostors Disrupting NANS/JCC Osun Axis
It has come to our attention that some unscrupulous, misguided individuals posing as JCC representatives are making a shameless bid for power by staging an illegitimate “satanic press conference.” These desperate attempts, fully unauthorized and constitutionally null, are an insult to NANS values. The NANS/JCC Osun Axis Senate has officially suspended these impostors, who remain pariahs within our student community.
It’s worrisome to see that some minority leaders in the Student community are the ones championing a blackmail against the student structure that made them using a notorious tout. Students Unionism is an ideological movement that’ll never allow miscreants to hijack. It is important to say that there cannot be a leader without followers and that’s why we shall continue to stand firm to defend the interest of Nigerian Students that voted us as their leaders across campuses in Osun State.
Following the legitimate NANS/JCC Osun Axis Convention on October 30, 2024, held at the NUJ Hall in Osogbo under the supervision of the Nigerian Police Force, Osun State Command and the department of State Security services, Osun State Command. We proudly affirm the election of our true leadership, led by Com. Solomon Ayobami Abel (AY ALUTA) as Chairman for the 2024/2025 session. Other key officials elected are; Vice Chairman Com. Adegoke Oluwapelumi, General Secretary Com. Adebola Jamiu, and Public Relations Officer Com. Alabi Ibrahim.Make bold to say that these officials were elected by legitimate Senators (SU Presidents of Tertiary Institutions in Osun State).
We extend deep gratitude to His Excellency Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for his unwavering support and for fostering peace among Osun students. The integrity and unity of the Osun student body will not be compromised by pretenders seeking chaos. We urge the Osun State Government and security agencies to immediately address these deceitful impostors, as their actions threatens the existence peace and harmony in our institutions.
NANS/JCC Osun Axis remains vigilant and unshakable, and will continue to advocate for all students in line with Governor Adeleke’s peaceful values and the NANS constitution. We will not allow rogues to tear down our unity or disturb the stability we are enjoying in the Students community in Osun State.
