The Executive Governor of Osun State, H.E. Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has been a true leader and a beacon of hope for the people of Osun since he resumed office.
With his unwavering commitment to delivering good governance, he has been able to transform the state and bring about positive changes that have impacted the lives of the people of Osun in a very significant way. This can be seen through the current memo that has been circulating in the state, which shows the governor’s commitment to the state workers.
The memo which was issued by K.N Akintola on behalf of the Head of service dated 31st of January, 2023, shows the governor’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that the state workers receive their due salaries and arrears.
The governor gave an order for the immediate payment of the arrears of half salaries for January 2016 and subsequent payment of the arrears once in every quarter starting from the second quarter of 2023. This new development is aimed at alleviating the suffering of the state workers and improving their standard of living.
The memo also stated that the payment of the 4 months outstanding deductions (May & June 2019, February 2020, and October 2022) would also commence with the immediate payment of the May 2019 deduction, while the other 3 deductions would be paid once per quarter. This is a major milestone in the lives of the state workers as they can now heave a sigh of relief and focus on their daily duties without having to worry about the burden of salary deductions.
It is important to note that these developments apply to both active and non-active workers who have been affected by the outstanding deductions and arrears.
This shows that Governor Adeleke is committed to delivering good governance to all members of the Osun community, regardless of their status or employment status. This new development is a testament to the governor’s commitment to ensuring that the state workers receive their due salaries and arrears.
It is also important to note that the arrears and salary deductions were owing that happened during the Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Mr. Gboyega Oyetola’s administration. Despite the efforts of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to improve the standard of living of the state workers, the state was unable to fully meet its financial obligations to the workers.
However, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, who was said to be the architect of these wicked acts on the state workers, never did anything to alleviate the suffering of the state workers but rather added to it by ensuring salary deductions.
In conclusion, Governor Adeleke has been a true leader and a beacon of hope for the people of Osun.
With his unwavering commitment to delivering good governance, he has been able to transform the state and bring about positive changes that have impacted the lives of the people of Osun in a very significant way.
It can be said that what Gboyega Oyetola could not do in 4 years, Governor Adeleke is doing it in just 2 months in office. Governor Adeleke’s commitment to delivering good governance to the Osun people is evident in his efforts to address the outstanding issues facing state workers.
With his commitment to ensuring that workers receive the compensation that they are owed, and his dedication to delivering good governance to all members of the Osun community, Governor Adeleke is setting a strong foundation for a bright future for the state and its people.
