Governor Ademola Adeleke has commiserated with victims of the fire incident at Iwo even as he directed the emergency agency team to visit the site.
The Governor who was represented by his Senior Special Assistant, Hon Taifeek Amobi described the fire incident as unfortunate and prayed to God to comfort the victims.
Amobi further informed the victims that the state governor has directed the state emergency agency to visit the site to assess the damage and arrange relief materials.
“Mr Governor expresses sadness at this fire incident. He pledges his support for the victims and their families”, Hon Amobi was quoted as saying.
The fire inferno started late last night and gutted several premises housing businesses and residential quarters.
