Former Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, George Akume has assumed duty as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
President Bola Tinubu administered the oath of office on Akume on Wednesday morning.
Akume subsequently headed to his office located at the Three Arms Zone in Abuja. He arrived at exactly 3:30 pm and was ushered in with a performance from a local band.
The new SGF was received by staff, directors, and permanent secretaries in the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
