The Pathfinder Team, Ede South Chapter, in collaboration with the Integrity Group and other stakeholders, has held its 2026 Ramadan Lecture, with participants offering prayers for the success and possible second term of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.

The programme, held in Ede, focused on unity, community development and prayers for leaders during the holy month of Ramadan.

Delivering the lecture, Islamic scholar Sheikh Olaniran Shereef Ayobami praised the contributions of the Adeleke family to the development of the town and the state.

According to him, “the Adeleke dynasty has played a significant role in the growth and progress of Ede and Osun State over the years.”

He added that “the positive impact of the family has laid a solid foundation for the development we are witnessing today,” urging residents to support leadership that promotes growth and stability.

The sponsor of the programme, Hon. Lukman Afolabi, also offered special prayers for Governor Adeleke, asking Allah to grant him wisdom and strength in steering the affairs of the state.

“We pray that Almighty Allah will continue to guide Governor Ademola Adeleke and grant him success in his leadership. We also pray that the prayers offered during this Ramadan gathering will be answered, particularly those seeking continued progress and a second term for the governor,” Afolabi said.

He also prayed for businessman and philanthropist Adedeji Adeleke, Mrs. Dupe Adeleke, as well as leaders and stakeholders in Ede South Local Government and across the state.
Afolabi further commended members of the social club for their consistent support for the “Imole” movement.

Also speaking, the lawmaker representing Ede South State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Olayiwola Taofeek Nagode, commended the organisers and clerics for putting together the Ramadan lecture.

“This programme is timely and commendable. Spiritual gatherings like this promote unity, moral discipline and peaceful coexistence in our society,” he said.

In his welcome address, the Pathfinder Team Coordinator, Hon. Fajinmi Ismail, appreciated participants for honouring the invitation and supporting the Ramadan lecture.

“We appreciate everyone who honoured our invitation and supported this programme. We pray for peace, unity and the smooth resumption of the authentic local government chairmen in their respective councils,” he said.
