Earlier yesterday, the Spokesperson to Osun State Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed hosted the executives of the Adeleke General Summit (AGS), Iwo Chapter at his Iwo residence to discuss matters of mutual interest related to the Governor’s re-election bid and the recognition of the group’s contributions during the Governor’s first term in office.
Introducing the representatives of the various groups, the local government Cordinator, Hon. Hammed Gbadebo (Aritula) said the visit became necessary to table the agenda of the summit which include commitment to supporting the Governor’s re-election efforts, consideration of members of the summit for opportunities in the government.
Appreciating the group’s commitment to the the party, Mallam Olawale emphasized the importance of cohesion within the party and urged all executives to remain united, setting aside any forms of factionalism that could hinder the party’s progress. He pointed out that unity is paramount for achieving the success of the Governor’s second-term bid and for maintaining the strength of the party in the upcoming political phase.
The Spokesperson reminded the gathering that the path to realizing personal or collective political goals could only be achieved when the party successfully secures the governorship position. He pointed out that the party’s efforts should be unified toward this primary goal, as it would create the necessary platform for subsequent political aspirations to come to fruition.
He went further to assure the executives of his support, declaring that they should view him as one of their own. He expressed his readiness to assist with any initiatives or causes related to the Governor’s re-election efforts. He made it clear that his commitment was to the party’s success, and he would always be available to provide guidance and resources as needed.
