Ultra modern Emir’s Palace Jumu’a Mosque, Birnin Kebbi, ready for Friday Prayers

The Jumu’a Mosque at the Emir’s Palace, Birnin Kebbi, has been upgraded into an ultramodern citadel of worship to accommodate thousands of Muslim faithfuls.

According to the statement signed by Ahmed Idris,Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi State Governor on Thursday stated that; “Work on the Mosque began during the immediate past administration, but pausity of funds and other challenges stalled progress, until the advent of incumbent government of Governor Nasir Idris who released the necessary funding for the completion of the project.

“Handler of the project, the CEO of Mtech, Munir Musa Jega, informed newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, this Tuesday, that the Governor has instructed the commencement of Friday Prayers from this week in the ultra modern edifice.

“We are grateful to Governor Nasir Idris, the Emir of Gwandu Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar, and the main committee members, for their support towards the successful completion of the refurbished Mosque”,

“The inner chamber has been expanded as well as the outside shade to accommodate additional Worshippers in the most convenient and conducive environment for supplication”,

“The Jumu’a Mosque is the most modern not only in Kebbi State but also the entire region that promotes and strengthens moral values”, Munir remarked.

A Worshipper at the Mosque, Ladan Abubakar thanked Governor Nasir Idris for providing the wherewithal for the completion of work, urging other adherents of Islam to safeguard and keep the place always clean as authorised by the Noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
