Ahead of Supreme Court ruling, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun has expressed hope of getting justice as the party is expecting the Apex Court to uphold the verdict of the Court of Appeal, which validated Adeleke’s victory in the governorship poll.
Recall, the Supreme Court has earlier fixed tomorrow, Tuesday, May 9, 2023 to deliver judgment on the July 16, 2022 Osun governorship election tussle between Senator Ademola Adeleke and Gboyega Oyetola.
A five-member panel of Justices led by Justice John Okoro fixed the date after all the parties involved adopted their written briefs in the matter.
Speaking on the expectations of the party, the Osun PDP Media Director, Oladele Olabamiji, said the party is expecting the Apex Court to uphold the verdict of the Court of Appeal, which validated Adeleke’s victory in the governorship poll.
According him; “We are positive as usual, we are expecting nothing but justice to uphold the judgement of the Appeal Court which upholds the election of governor Ademola Adeleke. We believe and trust in God.
“We are not troubled because we believe, trust in God and his grace, the judgment shall favor us. We are good by the grace of God.”
