Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Osun State, Hon. Abiodun Ojo, received Oba Matthew Oluwole Akintoye (Alakinde 1), The Olutedo Of Tonkere Oluwatedo, and the Council of Chiefs of Tenkere Oluwatedo in his office.
During the visit, which according to the Kabiesi was a congratulatory visit to their son Hon. Abiodun Bankole OJO in his office at Osogbo.
Hon. Ojo who just resumed office as a commissioner of the state and also to thank the governor of Osun State H.E Sen. Ademola Adeleke for counting one of their illustrious sons worthy of serving as a commissioner in his government.
In a statement signed by his media director, Kabiesi thanked Governor Ademola Adeleke for all he has done in Tonkere Oluwatedo and the neighboring towns especially the approval and presentation of staff of office to him as the Kabiesi Tonkere Oluwatedo within his first 100 days in office as the Governor of Osun State, and the appointment of Hon. Abiodun Bankole OJO a Son of Tonkere as Commissioner in his government.
The statement reads further:
He said, considering the level of responsiveness and proactiveness of this government in addressing issues bothering Osun people across all sectors, Governor Ademola Adeleke is God’s sent and a Blessing to us at this crucial time.
While concluding his statement, Kabiesi draw the attention of the state government to the bad state of the roads that link his community to other towns, Kabiesi appealed to the government to consider the construction of the Akoda-Tonkere-Edunabon road which is capable of opening up the economy of the area to its maximum potential.
In his response, Hon. Abiodun thanked Baba Kabiesi and Tenkere Oluwatedo in council for honoring him with such a courtesy visit and he assured them of prompt government intervention projects in Tonkere and its environment.
