His Eminence the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji (Dr) Sa’ad Abubakar has urged Muslims to continue to contribute their quota towards the development of Islam.
This, he said, would facilitate unity, peace and progress among the Muslim Ummah and the country at large.
Sultan stated this on Friday at the official commissioning of Dr Sulaiman Muhammad Juma’at Mosque in Argungu, Argungu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
He said Islamic religion was known as a peaceful religion, advising that clerics, should therefore, continue to preach and propagate peace and unity in their respective communities and the nation at large.
He observed that no support was too small and no one was too big to Islam, advising that the best support was the one done for the sake of Allah (SWT) towards earning reward from God Almighty in the Hereafter.
“Anyone who build Mosque for prayers has established a road to the Paradise, I encourage everyone of us to emulate this gigantic gesture” he said.
The Mosque was constructed by the National Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Suleiman Argungu for Muslims to perform both daily and Juma’at prayers.
The occasion featured the crowning of the first Chief Imam, Mallam Nasiru Sani, Assistant Chief Imam Sheik Hussani Abubakar Giro, the son of late Islamic preacher, Sheik Giro Argungu as well as the third Imam, Malam Adamu Nuhu Argungu.
