The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) congratulates Dr Emi Membere-Otaji on his election as the second deputy President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).
Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji is a medical doctor turned astute businessman with serious involvement in the oil, gas and marine sector. He is a graduate of University of Lagos Medical School, the prestigious Lagos Business School and McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University, Washington DC, USA.
He also obtained a Certificate in Corporate Governance and undertook Executive Management programme in building leaders and capacity in the Nigerian oil and gas sector. He is a recipient of the “Award of Excellence of the Nigeria Institute of Management”.
The newly elected second deputy President of NACCIMA is the Chief Executive Officer of a culmination of sister companies in the Elshcon Group. He is a one-time commissioner for Health and also Special Adviser on Privatization and Investment to the Rivers State Government including Chairman West African Glass Industry PLC.
He currently serves as the President of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agriculture (PHCCIMA), Governing Board Member, Nigerian Chamber of Shipping (NCS) and University of Port Harcourt Business School, Trustee Marine Equipment Owners Association (MEOLAN), a fellow, Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), a Director at Fate Foundation, Member, Petroleum Technology association of Nigeria (PETAN) and Ship Owners Association of Nigeria (SOAN).
The Executive Council and members of ACCI lauded his election while also praying for success in his assigment at the apex chamber.
