In a remarkable recognition of his commitment to peace and humanitarian service, Amb. Adetola Idowu has been awarded the prestigious Peace Award and officially appointed as Peace Ambassador of Nigeria by the Peace Ambassadors Advocacy Network—an affiliate of the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR), the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA), and the United Nations.
Speaking on his appointment, Amb. Idowu expressed deep gratitude and a strong sense of purpose. “I am honored to share my appointment as Peace Ambassador of Nigeria. This recognition is not just an award; it is a call to serve humanity and promote peace globally,” he said.
As a newly inducted ambassador, Amb. Idowu emphasized his commitment to peacebuilding efforts. “I am committed to leveraging this platform to promote peace, understanding, and humanitarian services. I believe that peace is a fundamental human right, and it’s essential to work towards creating a harmonious society where individuals can thrive,” he affirmed.
Outlining his expectations and vision for the role, Amb. Idowu stated:

He also revealed concrete steps he plans to take as part of his ambassadorial duties.

In a heartfelt message to the youth, Amb. Idowu encouraged active engagement in the peace process. “To the young generation, I advise: embrace peace and tolerance, get involved in community service, cultivate empathy and understanding towards others, and seek opportunities for growth and development.”
Amb.
