…• calls on Nigeria Police to arrest APC chieftains responsible for the Attack_
The Osun State chapter of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned in strong terms the attack on loyalists of one of his party chieftains and high ranking federal lawmaker, Hon Wole Oke by the agents of darkness called Apc in Osun.
In a statement by the chairman of the party, Dr Akindele Adekunle said the attack is a confirmation of the earlier Red alert the party had issued to the public and its supporters recently of the plans by the Osun Apc to attack its members, disturbed the peace of the State and cause ethnic crisis ahead of the forthcoming general election
“One of the apprehended hoodlums that spearheaded the attack had confessed they were sponsored by one of the chieftains of the party(APC) in the stateIt should be recalled that we had earlier informed the public of the plans of the defeated opposition party to attack major PDP leaders and stalwarts in Osun State Aside from that, we have it on good authority that Osun Apc has alloted and designated several of their criminal elements and known thugs into different local governments in the state that are PDP strongholds to attack and cause crisis before, during and after the election, all in a bid to justify the ‘Buga Judgment’ they fraudulently procured through the backdoor.
“We wish to sound a note of warning to the cursed party(APC) in the state that no attempt to cause crisis and disrupt the peace and tranquility the state currently enjoys will be allowed to thrive under the administration of our party in this state.
“Every attempt to turn Osun State to an hotbed of violence will be resisted before, during and after the election It is only a political party that is scared of imminent defeat that will engage in violence in a bid to get hold of power by all possible means
“We call on the Nigeria Police Force especially its Osun command to be on their toes and arrest every perpetrators of violence in the state as such attack if not tamed can snowball into unnecessary crisis which we don’t pray for in our state.
“Conclusively, I want to urge and enjoin the good people of Osun to be wary of this criminal elements parading themselves as a political party in the state, as they have no mission other than to kill, attack and destroy.
“Furthermore, we urge our people to stay calm in the face of unwarranted provocation by this cursed of a party that has inflicted pains and anguish on them for so many years while they all come out in full solidarity for the new government in the state by trashing the Apc in Osun to the dustbin of history through their votes and by emphatically, voting PDP from top to bottom in the general election.
