Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Mary Njoku, has taken to social media to educate Nigerian religious women about In vitro fertilization (IVF), stressing that the fertility treatment is perfectly acceptable.
In a series of posts on her Instagram page on Thursday, Njoku encouraged women to openly share their IVF journeys in testimonies, noting that the procedure is a product of divine wisdom given to humans.
She further explained that IVF is a God-given solution for families struggling with fertility.
She wrote, “Dear Nigerian religious Women! There is nothing wrong with IVF. God created us with the wisdom to find solutions to our challenges.
“Feel free to include IVF in your testimonies, so that God can use your story to inspire and bless other families as well. Testimony is not mandatory! If you no fit tell us TRUE story, rest Abeg. Make God no vex for you.
“Saying IVF failed you but God gave you a miracle is absurd. IVF is a miracle! C-sections are a miracle! God has blessed countless families through them.
“If it didn’t work for you, it might work for someone else. Stop using religion to discourage others from receiving their blessing. Miracles can come in different forms. ‘Hebrew Women’”
