Saving Lives is a Joint Responsibility – Dr. Afolabi

The Chief Medical Director of UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, Dr. Babatunde Adeola Afolabi, has emphasized the importance of teamwork in saving lives.

He made this statement while receiving the newly redeployed Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, Commandant Leye Adegboyega, who paid a courtesy visit to the hospital.

Dr. Afolabi reiterated the hospital’s commitment to providing quality healthcare services, attributing its success to the expertise of its medical practitioners.

He expressed gratitude to Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for his motivational efforts, particularly in providing robust welfare packages for staff.

As mentioned by the Commandant Adegboyega, the Chief Medical Director assured him of the hospital’s collaboration and partnership in areas such as training and retraining of staff, creation of a Special Marshal Unit of the hospital, easy access to medical facilities for FRSC staff, and medical outreach programs.

Earlier, Commandant Adegboyega commended Dr. Afolabi for the hospital’s prompt response during a recent medical emergency involving a corps member. He expressed his desire to maintain a mutual relationship between the hospital and the FRSC, and took the opportunity to inform the management about the Corps’ mobile app, available for download on the Play Store and Apple Store.

In attendance were the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC), Dr. Olufemi Ala, and the Head, Corporate Affairs Department/Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Christie Oyewole.
