The lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Bamidele Salam, has urged his constituents to begin house to house mobilisation in support of Ademola Adeleke, saying the time has come to intensify grassroots engagement.
Salam gave the charge on Friday during a stakeholder’s meeting of the Accord Party held in Awo, Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State. At the meeting, party leaders and stakeholders in the council area endorsed the lawmaker for a third term in the National Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Addressing party members and supporters at the gathering, Salam said there was no time to waste in mobilising support for Governor Adeleke.
“We must begin house to house campaigns across our communities. There is no time to waste. Our people must be properly sensitised about the logo and manifesto of our party and the achievements of Governor Ademola Adeleke,” he said.
The lawmaker commended the governor’s administration, noting that the impact of government programmes and projects could be seen in many parts of the state.
He said, “The record of Governor Adeleke speaks for itself.
Across the state, people can see the difference through the various projects and programmes being implemented by this administration.”
According to a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, party leaders and stakeholders reviewed Salam’s performance in the National Assembly and expressed satisfaction with his representation.
The stakeholders commended the lawmaker for what they described as his dedication to the welfare of the people and his contributions to the development of the constituency, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, youth empowerment, education support and community development.
They also noted that Salam had remained accessible to his constituents and maintained constant engagement with them on issues affecting the constituency.
Following deliberations, the stakeholders unanimously endorsed Salam for a third term to continue representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
In their remarks, the stakeholders called on party members, community leaders, youth groups, women associations and residents across the constituency to remain united and mobilise support for the lawmaker ahead of the next election.
“We are satisfied with his performance and representation.
We believe he deserves another opportunity to continue the good work he has been doing for the people of this constituency,” the communiqué stated.
The meeting ended with a vote of confidence in the lawmaker, with participants expressing optimism that his continued representation would further strengthen development and effective legislative representation for the constituency.
The gathering was attended by party leaders, executives, councillors and stakeholders from the ten wards in Egbedore Local Government Area.
